My harvest of the day ...

I said recently that I spend a lot of time in my garden, that the efforts I have made are beginning to show ...
 It is true, and it is even time for having some real fruit ( or vegetable from my garden )

So today was a harvest day ..... Very modest, but very pleasant ...


This morning , I was on my way to the flea market ( there is a flea market very Sunday morning in the village, it is fun I very often find interesting things , or at least loads of buttons )
 Anyway, on my way I always carry the rubbish to the big rubbish container round the corner  , and guess what I found on the pavement next to it  : loads of baskets and bags!!! So I took them all , that was my first  harvest of the day ...

And I soon found a use for one of the baskets that I particularly fancy, the wire one was very useful to transport my potatoes .... I know , a very meagre harvest , but I got these potatoes because I had put in the earth a potatoe that had germinated , I am glad I tried it , so don't throw your old potatoes , those little potatoes were the most delicious of all !!

And look at the other very nice baskets too !!!! I am sure I will find a use for them too...

Then , I picked a handful of raddishes ... Just a handful , but those were lovely too ! And  as they are my home grown raddishes , I know that I can make my raddish leaves soup with no fear of pesticides , and my soup was nice too ....

And with yet another basket  I went to get some cherries ...I am pleased with that basket and its ancient look ....

So that was my harvest of the day .... And meanwhile, the GS spent his time in the lime tree and gathered loaaaaads of leaves ...It smells like honey in the house tonight .... 

Very relaxing smell too ....

That is it , rediscovering the simple pleasure like eating the fruit from your own garden ... I love that ....

In the garden : lasagna gardening and other activities ...

I seem to spend a lot of time out in the garden these past days, and although at first it was frustrating, because I didn't see any improvement, I think the garden seems to show signs of being better tended now ...
Well, so I think ...



So let's start with the " lasagnas" , as we have a very poor soil we thought we might try this technique if we want to have some vegetables

This is just a first try , but it kept me very busy ...there are a few tomatoes , peppers and courgettes ..

They have grown since I have taken the photo ....

In the second one , peas , and a few salads in between the rows ...
... And I am afraid the wind has brought in a few wild  grass , which wasn't supposed to happen ...


There is a third one with only tomatoes ( not fully planted yet ) .....

And apart from that my efforts of the previous years give some colours to my garden and make it a nice place to walk in ....

Some I planted , and some I left, as they were home here .

A new bag

Another bag , for summer, not for me ... ! )

With inside pockets and white lining ...

I really like this pattern of bag ....

It is made in a water proof material, ... I think it is ideal for going on holidays , and I added an anti theft ring for keys inside ..

Sirop , on a dit sirop????
- Pour moi, ce sera à l'eau !!!


Donc , mon défi , c'est pour l'eau du sirop !!!!!!

Et oui, comme je suis dans une phase recyclage , je continue sur ma lancée " papier mâché" :
Cette fausse cruche en bidon plastique recyclé , recouvert de papier mâché , et imperméabilisé avec du " dip étanche " , si gentiment prêté par le Grand Sachem , qui venait de refaire un peu d'étanchéité sur le toît , ce qui m'a donné l'idée !!
  Voilà donc un vase qui ne casse pas pour la terrasse ..

Je crois que je vais l' utiliser en pot , tout simplement , il y a même un système de réserve d 'eau,
Voyez plutôt :

 Donc, j'ai pris le bidon, coupé la partie haute, que j'ai remise mais à l'envers, à l'intérieur, voilà pour la réserve d'eau

Dans la foulée, comme j'avais fait une quantité de papier mâché, j'en ai fait d'autres , que je peindrai ... Faudra voir avec le GS pour les restes de peinture !)

Je n'ai pas pris de photos pendant le badigeonnage au dip étanche , j'en avais plein les mains

Faudra voir si ça résiste à l'extérieur , pour l'instant, ma terrasse est protégée ...

Et je vous remontre un autre bidon que j'avais transformé il y a quelque temps ...Celui là est badigeonné de colle à serviettage....

Un jour, je vais en faire un que je vais lisser, mais pour l'instant, on va dire que j'aime bien l'aspect "rustique "

Et un autre , en bouchon , là ....

Voilà mon défi , je persiste, il faut bien de l'eau, pour le sirop, non ?????????

petit lapin au crochet

Et oui, j'ai fait un petit lapin au crochet , suivant le tuto trouvé là ( merci ) ,


 et je comptais en faire plusieurs pour  les cacher dans le jardin à Pâques , .. mais déjà , il a plu ... alors ... Ce petit essai est pourtant sympa, même si je trouve qu'il a un peu des oreilles de Gremlin :)

Couleurs tendres et gourmandes, fraîches et pastel....

Bon, moi je suis plutôt couleurs pétantes, alors déjà ça sera pas pour moi..

Et puis heureusement il a fait mauvais temps, alors j'ai été obligée de laisser mes activités de jardinage que je venais d'entreprendre pour essayer ces petites idées que j'avais trouvée il y a un certain temps ...

J'ai trouvé sympa à faire ces petites chaussures .....

Pour des petits pieds à croquer ....


J'ai donc essayé deux modèles différents , un en vert pistache avec semelle beige ( vanille )  ...


Ce premier modèle s'appelle " felt baby shoes " , et je dois dire que je ne sais plus où j'ai trouvé ce modèle sympa et bien expliqué .... Dès que ça me revient, je mets le lien ...

 Et un autre modèle plutôt ..moka ...

Je l'ai trouvé là, chez purl bee, où il y a plein d'autres idées !!! ( j'adore farfouiller partout pour trouver des idées de trucs sympas à faire !!!!)

     On ne se refait pas , j'ai eu l'espace d'une seconde envie de faire une petite frange genre mocassin ... Mais non , ce coup-ci , je reste sobre , mais les prochains , je me lâche !!
Et en plus je ferai attention de croiser un coup à gauche , un coup à droite ... Sinon, ça fait deux pieds droits , ou deux pieds gauches ...


KSSSSS !!! C'est sûr , faudra que j'en refasse !!!!!

Et voilà petits chaussons attendent petits pieds d 'Achille !!!

Et du coup, j'ai failli oublier de mettre les photos des chaussons qui ont trouvé leurs pieds !!!!
